step 1Materials and Prep
(1) office badge retractor
(1) fairly small but very strong magnet
superglue, hot glue or epoxy
cut out 2 small pieces of felt or some sort of soft fabric slightly larger than your magnet
about 6-8 inches of fishing line
scissors or knife
step 2Stretch and cut
Stretch out the string and tie off the string so that it cannot go back into the retractor.
Cut off the end of the string and tie a small loop of fishing line to the end of the string
step 3Glue Magnet
Glue or epoxy the magnet really good to the string. Also while you have the glue one there stick the piece of fabric on there and let it dry completely.
step 4Soundproof the magnet
Glue on the other piece of fabric to the other side of the magnet so that is does not make a loud noise when it picks up the object. Pull the tie off knot and you are ready to perform. You can vanish any small metal object with this. Just watch the video and I show you how to perform the illusion.
